Picture gallery: 'Galaxy Spartans' take on the cast of Hollyoaks
Actors from TV soap Hollyoaks were in the region for a charity football match.
The popular programme's stars were at Blyth Spartans' Croft Park ground yesterday for a match to raise money for North East charity The Children's Foundation.
Fans filled the ground to watch them take on a team assembled from Galaxy Radio presenters and Blyth Spartans players.
Nick Pickard, who plays Tony Hutchinson in the Channel 4 programme, captained the Hollyoaks side.
He said: "It's a fantastic opportunity for us to raise money."
Captaining the Galaxy Spartans side was Steve Furnell, who has presented the breakfast show on the radio station since its first day in June 1999.
Libby Nolan, fundraising manager at The Children's Foundation, said: "We were delighted that Hollyoaks cast members came up for the game.
"It was fantastic to have some of the Blyth Spartans players playing as well."
The event was organised by The Children's Foundation and supported by Galaxy Radio, the Gosforth Park Marriott and Eldon Square shopping centre.

I've checked through the pictures we have on the system of the Galaxy Spartans game and there hasn't been one uploaded like that- sorry.
Maybe it was a photographer from a different paper?
