Harry Dunn, Blyth Spartans managerBlyth Spartans have parted company with Harry Dunn after the veteran manager failed to match his side's FA Cup heroics in the league.

The Croft Park club reached the third round of this season's FA Cup, their best run in the competition for 30 years.

But they were threatened with relegation from Conference North for much of the season until pulling away at Easter. That is why chairman Tony Platten has decided not to renew Dunn's contract, which expired at the end of the season.

"The Board fully recognise Harry's achievements at Blyth, most notably in getting the club promoted to the Blue Square North three years ago and of course our wonderful FA Cup run this year," said a statement from Platten.
