Bede academy extension bid
Education bosses are seeking permission to add a two-storey extension to the secondary element of the £30m Bede Academy, which is currently being built on the site of Blyth's former Ridley High School in Sixth Avenue, Northumberland.
The extension will accommodate a larger sports hall and an extensive fitness suite for the 1,150 students.
The application is expected to be approved by county councillors next month.
