WARWICKSHIRE Wildlife Trust is delighted to have a received a grant of £4,450 for a new project in Rough Hill Wood, near Studley.

The project, entitled "Blooming Beautiful Bluebells" will enhance the environment in which the bluebells are located and improve the access for people who wish to visit the wood.

The grant has been given by Carillion plc's Natural Habitat fund, who have been responsible for financially supporting various conservational projects in the country.

The project will run from July 2008 until March 2009, and aims to reduce the shading effect of dense trees by sensitive tree thinning.

Warwickshire Wildlife Trust will be looking to volunteers from Carillion plc and any others who wish to help in the development of the project.

A woodland open day to see the project at first hand and see how to get involved will be held in the Autumn.

We'd like to hear from you.
